    The Admissions Officer manages inbound applications and reports to the Admissions Manager. This person assists the field recruitment team with follow up and other conversion activities and submits applications to partner schools for acceptance. The Admissions Officer must be a self-directed individual with excellent problem-solving, communication, and detail-orientated skills. Measures of success for this role include the ability to drive conversion from application to deposit, and conversion from deposit to enrollment. A large proportion of this role is speaking with applicants, parents and business partners via online chat platforms, email, and telephone daily. The Admissions Officer will also be responsible for the evaluation of each applicant’s English proficiency, academic transcripts and other required admissions documents to determine admissibility into the Amerigo programs.

    Responsibilities & Qualifications

    • Contribute to the growth of the business and to new student enrollments by assessing potential applicants and determining their eligibility to apply and enroll in various academic programs
    • Receive and follow up on potential students via phone, email, social media, and, where beneficial and feasible, in person
    • Organize and deliver files under the direction of the Central Admissions office
    • Conduct new student interviews to determine English proficiency
    • Build rapport with and guide students, business partners, and parents through the school admissions process
    • Provide a positive and superior student experience
    • Maintain a high-level knowledge of current programs, products, processes, and policies
    • Demonstrate expertise in all steps of the admissions process
    • Understand and communicate the value propositions of our schools to provide an excellent student experience by offering the right school and program
    • Execute on tailored conversion activities to drive conversion from sales-qualified lead to application, application to confirmation, and confirmation to enrollment via multiple platforms to reach enrollment goals
    • Leverage Salesforce CRM for tracking of assigned students to track their status and progress toward enrollment
    • Create consistent and observable documentation in Salesforce and throughout the student cycle of student engagement, activities, and processes
    • Performs other duties as necessary and as assigned


    • Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited University
    • 2-3 years of experience in the international education industry (admissions/recruitment experience preferred)
    • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed, to accommodate international schedules
    • Willingness to occasionally travel nationally and internationally
    • Proficiency with technology and reporting programs/systems
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to review significant amounts of documents
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a customer service ethic within the work team
    • Willing to work and produce results with little resources
    • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
    • Ability to analyze and solve problems
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
