    Overview

    The Finance Analyst reports to the Finance & Accounting Manager acting as a business partner supporting Operations with a focus on high-quality deliverables that impact results. This position provides support to the Finance and Operations teams and functions as needed. 

    Responsibilities & Qualifications

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support the Operations Team in monitoring and analyzing expenses
    • Support strategic Operations initiatives
    • Assist with set up and implementation of processes at new and existing Operations sites
      • Acquisition of assets
      • Facilitate recurring charges/purchases
      • Work with internal real estate team and external vendors
    • Review and analyze Operations’ monthly performance and provide recommendations to management
    • Assist with centralization of purchasing for Operations and Corporate functions (e.g. air & hotel corporate accounts)
    • Recording of Operations accounts payable transactions
    • Review of Operations corporate card expense reports
    • Analysis of Operations performance and variance to budget and/or forecasts
    • Maintain well organized accounting records, and assist with maintenance of ongoing updates to NetSuite accounting system
    • Preparation of monthly reporting and dashboards
    • Actively participate in the development and detailed review of annual operating budgets and performance projections
    • Assist in the preparation of forecasts and development of long-term plans
    • Suggest and help implement improvements to current accounting processes and/or controls, including automation and streamlining of existing accounting functions
    • Participate in other projects and/or assignments as requested by management
    • Month end close duties as needed by the Finance team
    • Special projects as assigned

    KEY REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree. CPA or Chartered Accountant is a plus
    • Must have an understanding of basic Accounting principles/GAAP
    • Big Four or public accounting experience is a plus
    • 2-4 years working experience
    • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint, Microsoft Access & PowerBI is a plus
    • Must be highly motivated individual with high level of initiative and an attitude of willingness
    • Must be a team player, willing to assist others at all levels of the organization
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work autonomously or with a team, within a vibrant and open office space
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to communicate effectively on a one-on-one basis or in group setting
    • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times and exercise strict confidentiality
